Lakes, Rivers & Streams

Leech Lake
Without a doubt, trout fishing is one of Washington's premier recreational opportunities. The freshwater fishing at nearby alpine lakes is spectacular and rewarding. Leech Lake, just a short walk from your condo, is a non-motorized, fly fishing only lake that is stocked with trout. If you hike north along the neighboring trail network you can reach other stocked backcountry lakes. Pull on your boots, grab your fishing rod and spend a day in the fresh air.

Rimrock lake, Clear lake and Riffe lake are a short drive away and have many boat launch options. Go kayaking, waterskiing or boating for full day of fun.

Our lakes are a perfect place for a calm paddleboard and yoga session June-September. Locally, contact Sarah Washburn for classes that pair love of the outdoors with calm meditation and balance challenges!

If you're looking for unique active, rewarding venture, the Tieton River is where you'll want to be for September white water. When the Rimrock Lake dam opens up, we get a short 2-3 week window where the water rushes and the rafters descend on the river valley. Commonly called the last white water run of the summer, this is a great option for those looking to get an adrenaline rush during the last days of an Indian summer.

For a short jaunt visit the outflow of all the streams which you cross walking around the lake where they turn into Clear Creek Falls.
